Under Lisa’s leadership, Merriam-Webster achieved record reach and revenue, extended to new platforms, and won numerous awards—including eight Webby Awards. She has a strong track record of aligning product and growth strategies, driving product innovation and business results at Bridal Guide, where she instantiated and built the digital business; at Budget Travel, where she tripled reach and revenue at zero additional investment, making the digital business a self-sustaining entity; and at Penton, where she increased an already mature business line by 30% in one year.
She is passionate about the potential for technology and creativity to do good, and an avowed opponent of dark patterns and bias-in/bias-out. We all have to pay the rent, but we can find a better way.
